In 2009, the production of plastic pipe was 5.84 million tons, with a year-on-year growth of 18.9%, and from January to September 2010, the production of plastic pipe was 5.528 million tons, with a year-on-year growth of 28.23%. At the same time, with the continuous improvement of consumer requirements for product environmental protection, health, durability and other aspects of quality, the production of plastic pipes in China is increasing at the same time, the level of product quality is constantly improving, the technological progress of the industry is accelerating, the number of brand scale enterprises is increasing, new materials, new structure varieties are emerging, and the advanced system design philosophy is emerging in an endless stream. The function of the product is more obvious and the application field is further expanded. According to the analysis, China’s plastic pipe market share in 2013 in all the pipe proportion has exceeded 30%.
By 2015, in the new construction, reconstruction and expansion projects nationwide, 85% of building drainage pipes shall be made of plastic pipes, 80% of building rainwater drainage pipes shall be made of plastic pipes, 50% of urban drainage pipes shall be made of plastic pipes, 85% of building water supply, hot water supply and heating pipes shall be made of plastic pipes, and 80% of urban water supply pipes (DN400mm below) shall be made of plastic pipes. 90% of water supply pipelines in villages and towns are plastic pipes, 40% of urban gas plastic pipes (medium and low pressure pipes) are used, and 90% of building wire protective sleeve is plastic pipes. It is predicted that during the 12th Five-Year Plan period, the plastic pipeline production will maintain a growth rate of about 10%. By 2015, it is expected that the national plastic pipeline production will be close to 12 million tons, and plastic pipeline occupies more than 60% of the market share in all kinds of pipelines in the country.
